Spa Academy
An exciting opportunity to train as a massage therapist within the Norfolk Passport group, a creative and dynamic business with sites including The Pigs & Ffolkes. Providing unique and ‘not your average spa’ experiences at each site.
About the Academy
This course is for complete beginners, taking you to a qualified full body massage therapist in 8 weeks, with no prior experience or qualifications required; perfect for something to fit in alongside your current role to boost earnings.
You will receive a fully insurable and accredited qualification on completion of the course, as well as a guaranteed role within the business (PIGSPA or FFOLKESPA) with the cost of the course paid back after one year.*
Training will be 4 hours per week starting in April 2025 and finishing in June 2025. This will be on a Sunday between 1pm and 5pm in Hillington or a Monday from 5.30pm - 9.30pm in Holt.
Class sizes will be small, with ample time for practical training and constructive feedback from qualified & experienced tutors to help guide you to becoming a fully fledged massage therapist.

About the role
After obtaining your qualification you will become a Full or Part-time member of our spa team based at Ffolkes, Hillington or The Pigs, Edgefield.
Treatments will be carried out between 9am and 9pm. Shifts of 6 - 8 hours.
Full TempleSpa product training given and further training in CPD courses (Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Beauty Facials) provided.
About you
You must be aged 18 years or over.
You enjoy working as part of a team and as an individual.
You're flexible, enthusiastic, and conscientious.
You can deliver a memorable and unique spa experience for each and every client.
You're willing to obtain the relevant insurance to work as a massage therapist.
You can talk confidently to the customers about our products, values and history.
In addition to skilled therapists, we’re seeking experienced professionals to step into key management roles at FFOLKESPA and PIGSPA.

April 13th WEEK 1 - Introduction to full body massage
April 20th WEEK 2 - Back massage & relevant anatomy
April 27th WEEK 3 - Front of leg & back of leg massage & relevant anatomy
May 11th WEEK 4 - Arm massage & back of body practise.
May 18th WEEK 5 - Chest, neck, face & scalp massage, front of body practise.
May 25th WEEK 6 - Full Body Massage & A&P revision
June 1st WEEK 7 - Mock & A&P test.
June 8th WEEK 8 - Practical exam
All dates for the course must be attended in order to gain qualification.
HOLT, NORFOLK

April 7th WEEK 1 - Introduction to full body massage
April 14th WEEK 2 - Back massage & relevant anatomy

Terms and conditions
- All sessions must be attended and completed to qualify. Any missed due to extenuating circumstances can be re-organised with the tutor with notice. `
- £500 fee for the course must be paid prior to start of the course, this will be refunded on completion of one year (365 days) of working within the Norfolk Passport group as a massage therapist (minimum of one shift per week).
- Insurance is the responsibility of the therapist and must be obtained prior to starting role
- Position will be offered at either The Pigs Edgefield or Ffolkes Hillington with consideration of proximity to location taken into consideration where possible.
