Position: Chef de Partie, full-time
Location: Norwich City Centre
We’re looking to add a talented Chef de Partie to our vibrant team at The Assembly House —a job like no other in the heart of Norwich!
What We’re NOT Looking For:
Fine Dining Enthusiasts: If you’re all about tweezers and precision plating, this might not be the role for you. We value consistency, good food and speed of service above all.
Job Hoppers: We value commitment. If your CV is full of short stints, you’re not the chef for us. We’re seeking someone ready to stick with us, even through the tough weeks.
What We’re Looking For:
Dependability: You’ll help hold down breakfast, lunch, and incredibly busy afternoon tea services. We need you to be reliable.
Team Player: Assist with events alongside our dedicated event team.
Positive Attitude: We don’t hire grumpy people — come ready to enjoy your work!
Commitment to Excellence: Help us maintain our 5-star rating.
What You’ll Get: Approximately 40 hours per week: Straight shifts, very few late nights.
Bonuses and Gratuities: Because we believe in rewarding hard work.
Staff Meals: You’ve got to eat well to cook well! Staff meals on shift are free.
Documented Training: Full recorded training provided, plus management training.
Supportive Environment: Work in an extremely busy but kind and caring kitchen.
Starting Salary: Around £12.50 per hour, reviewed after the trial period.

No late-night finishes: At our busiest you’d be looking at a 9.30pm/10pm finish, and this isn’t a regular occurrence (other than Christmas!)
Everything works: Yes, that includes the kitchen equipment!
Experienced leadership: Our kitchen management team has years of experience in some of the world’s finest hotels and decades of experience with our business.
